Moving your loved one into a nursing home is not an easy feat and my family and I were highly selective in choosing Mom's new home. However, from Day One, every member of the Nursing Home staff made the move-in process so easy for us. The general atmosphere was positive and supportive. This includes members of all teams; such as Administration, Finance, Activities, Kitchen, Cleaning, Maintenance and the special Nurses and Assistants. The most important thing to me with this move is that Mom is happy where she is living and how she is being cared for. I have to say that I never thought moving Mom into a nursing home would go so smoothly. She is so happy to be taken care of, getting so much attention and making so many new friends. The community room each floor has allows the residents to meet together and feel like a family. They also host entertainment, whether it is a music guest or the Activities Team coordinating games or other activities. My Mom lives on the Memory Care floor and the security was important. There has never been an instant that we needed to worry, as the staff has this under full control. Nourishment is also very important and Mt. Carmel's staff cares enough to include residents as part of their Nourishment Committee. I am very comfortable leaving Mom in the care of Mt. Carmel's staff. Attached is a picture of Mom on her birthday and preparing for the Halloween event at Mt Carmel Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

My grandmother has been on their rehabilitation unit since early October, looks amazing, and is ready to come home at the end of this week. Everyone on her care team has made her feel comfortable and dignified, something that many of us take for granted. Thank you to every single person that has taken care of her and keeping her (and myself) in the loop. From LNAs to Nurse's, from the kitchen staff to the administration team (especially Ryan N.), thank you all. Because of her positive experience here, my grandmother has chosen this for her long-term care, should she need so in the future. BEST wishes to everyone on this difficult journey!

My husband has been a patient at My. Carmel Rehabilitation Center three times due to a recurring illness. Each time he has received professional and caring attention. This was our first experience with a rehabilitation center and I was very apprehensive. It was all put to rest when we experienced the wonderful welcome and reassurance of personalized care he would receive.
The staff is dedicated and truly a blessing. They are the heart of Mt. Carmel. Thank you all for everything you did for my husband. Janis H Tunstall
