Our commitment is providing the highest quality of care and level of safety for our residents. While exact ratios may vary depending on the level of care, Mt. Carmel Rehabilitation & Nursing Center delivers you the most responsive, safe and attentive support.

Your care team will vary depending on the program. Both short-term rehab and long-term care offer a team of physicians, nurses, rehabilitation therapists, dieticians, social workers, nursing assistants and other support staff. Memory care also offers a dedicated program director.

We accept many forms of payment options and insurance plans for our different levels of care. If you have Medicare coverage, you may qualify for the Medicare Skilled Nursing benefit. If you have commercial health insurance through an employer, you may also be eligible for skilled nursing services. We encourage you to verify coverage with your insurance provider prior to your stay.

Mt. Carmel Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is a tobacco-free community. Smoking and smokeless tobacco products are strictly prohibited on our property.

We want Mt. Carmel to feel like your home as much as possible. We want you to be as comfortable as possible within familiar surroundings. Residents may bring photos or décor items, your favorite quilt or blanket, furniture, electronics or personal care items.

You may bring personal valuables or sums of money, but we highly recommend you keep them in either the lockbox we provide or within a dedicated secure location within our facility. We also discourage the use of space heaters.

Any electrical equipment, such as electric blankets, fans or mini-refrigerators need to be checked by the facility’s manager upon moving in. Medications from home are not allowed, but our nursing staff will provide more information to ensure you receive proper medication.

No – Mt. Carmel proudly serves individuals and families of all religions, beliefs, races and ethnicities. 

Yes, you are welcome to contact us and coordinate your stay prior to your arrival. Our staff will also work closely with hospital case managers, discharge planners and providers throughout the transition to make the process as easy on you as possible.

We always welcome – and encourage – visitors to Mt. Carmel Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. While we don’t have any formal visiting hours, we do ask you to be respectful and avoid nighttime and overnight hours, if possible. Our doors are locked after dark, but visitors can be buzzed in after that time.

Mt. Carmel Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is a pet-friendly community. We value the importance they can have for our residents. As long as they are up to date on shots, pets are welcomed. Dogs must be leashed or contained at all times. Animals in the Long Term Care Facility

Mt. Carmel upholds the highest standard of care for our residents, patients and families. All staff undergoes continuing education on a regular basis to stay up to date on regulatory standards and best practices in critical care.

Mt. Carmel has 120 resident beds. We pride ourselves on being a close-knit community, where you’ll receive the personal attention and support you require.

Yes, nearly 90 percent of our spacious rooms are private, more than you’ll typically find in most skilled nursing facilities.

Mt. Carmel offers a wide range of social activities to enrich the lives of our residents, introduce new hobbies and build meaningful connections with others. They include arts and crafts, movie nights, “Happy Hours,” seasonal-themed parties, special culinary events, gardening, live entertainment, shopping trips and so much more. 

Mt. Carmel offers 24-hour nursing care and support as part of our long-term care, skilled nursing rehabilitation, respite care, palliative care, and memory care programs.

Mt. Carmel has an on-site chapel for residents, accessible any time of day. We also have a daily Mass.

Yes, we offer comfortable common and lounge areas to gather with family and friends, as well as private gathering spaces as needed. Our Courtyard Café is also great for enjoying meals together.
